Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour].
Nou het Petrus en Johannes saam opgegaan na die tempel by die uur van die gebed, synde die negende uur.

And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
En ’n sekere man, wat van sy moeder se skoot af verlam was, is gedra, wat hulle daagliks neergesit het by die poort van die tempel wat die Skone genoem word, om aalmoese te vra van dié wat in die tempel ingaan;

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
Wat, toe hy Petrus en Johannes sien op die punt om in die tempel in te gaan, het om ‚'n aalmoes gevra.

And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
En Petrus, sy oë op hom vestigende met Johannes, het gesê, Kyk na ons.

And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
En hy het hulle aandagtig aangesien, en verwag om iets van hulle te ontvang.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Toe het Petrus gesê, Silwer en goud het ek nie; maar wat ek het, dit gee ek jou: In die Naam van Jesus Christus van Nasaret, staan op en wandel.

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ancle bones received strength.
En hy het hom by die regterhand geneem, en opgerig: en dadelik is sy voete en enkels versterk.

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
En hy, opspringende, het gestaan, en gewandel, en saam met hulle in die tempel ingegaan, wandelende, en springende, en God prysende.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
En die hele volk het hom sien wandel en God prys:

And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
En hulle het hom herken, dat dit hy was wat om aalmoese gesit het by die Skone poort van die tempel: en hulle is met verwondering en verbasing gevul oor dit wat aan hom gebeur het.

And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
En soos die verlamde man wat genees was Petrus en Johannes vashou, het die hele volk verbaas na hulle toe gehardloop in die pilaargang wat Salomo se pilaargang genoem word.

And when Peter saw [it], he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
En toe Petrus dit sien, het hy geantwoord tot die volk, Julle manne van Israel, waarom verwonder julle julle hieroor? of waarom kyk julle so stip na ons, asof ons deur ons eie mag of heiligheid hierdie man laat wandel het?

The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let [him] go.
Die God van Abraham, en van Isak, en van Jakob, die God van ons vaders, het sy Seun Jesus verheerlik; wat julle oorgelewer het, en Hom verloën het voor die aangesig van Pilatus, toe hy vasbeslote was om Hom los te laat.

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
Maar julle het die Heilige en die Regverdige verloën, en begeer dat ’n moordenaar aan julle gegee word;
15
And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
En die Vorst van die lewe het julle omgebring, wat God uit die dooies opgewek het; waarvan ons getuies is.
16
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
En sy Naam, deur die geloof in sy Naam, het hierdie man sterk gemaak, wat julle sien en ken: ja, die geloof wat deur Hom is, het hom hierdie volkome gesondheid gegee in die teenwoordigheid van julle almal.

And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did [it], as [did] also your rulers.
En nou, broers, ek weet dat julle dit deur onkunde gedoen het, soos ook julle owerstes.

But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Maar daardie dinge, wat God tevore deur die mond van al sy profete aangekondig het, dat Christus sou ly, het Hy so vervul.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Bekeer julle daarom, en bekeer julle, dat julle sondes uitgewis mag word, wanneer die tye van verkwikking sal kom van die aangesig van die Here;
20
And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
En Hy sal Jesus Christus stuur, wat tevore aan julle verkondig is:

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Wat die hemel moet ontvang tot die tye van die herstelling van alle dinge, wat God gespreek het deur die mond van al sy heilige profete van die begin van die wêreld af.
22
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
Want Moses het waarlik tot die vaders gesê, ’n Profeet sal die Here julle God vir julle verwek uit julle broers, soos ek; Hom moet julle in alle dinge hoor wat Hy ook al tot julle sal sê.

And it shall come to pass, [that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
En dit sal wees, dat elke siel, wat nie daardie Profeet sal hoor nie, vernietig sal word onder die volk.
24
Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
Ja, en al die profete van Samuel af en dié wat volg, soveel as gespreek het, het ook hierdie dae aangekondig.
25
Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
Julle is die kinders van die profete, en van die verbond wat God met ons vaders gemaak het, sê tot Abraham, En in jou saad sal al die geslagte van die aarde geseën word.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Aan julle eers, God, nadat Hy sy Seun Jesus opgewek het, Hom gestuur het om julle te seën, deur elkeen van julle af te keer van sy ongeregtighede.
