And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
En die HERE het tot Moses gesê, Kyk, Ek het jou ’n god vir Farao gemaak: en Aäron jou broer sal jou profeet wees.

Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
Jy moet alles spreek wat Ek jou beveel: en Aäron jou broer moet tot Farao spreek, dat hy die kinders van Israel uit sy land moet laat gaan.

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
En Ek sal Farao se hart verhard, en my tekens en my wonders in die land Egipte vermeerder.
4
But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, [and] my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
Maar Farao sal nie na julle luister nie, dat Ek my hand op Egipte mag lê, en my leërs, my volk die kinders van Israel, uit die land Egipte uitlei deur groot oordele.

And the Egyptians shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
En die Egiptenaars sal weet dat Ek die HERE is, wanneer Ek my hand uitsteek oor Egipte, en die kinders van Israel uit hulle midde uitlei.

And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
En Moses en Aäron het so gedoen soos die HERE hulle beveel het, so het hulle gedoen.

And Moses [was] fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
En Moses was tagtig jaar oud, en Aäron drie en tagtig jaar oud, toe hulle met Farao gespreek het.

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
En die HERE het tot Moses en tot Aäron gespreek, en gesê,

When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast [it] before Pharaoh, [and] it shall become a serpent.
Wanneer Farao tot julle spreek, en sê, Wys ’n wonderwerk vir julle; dan moet jy tot Aäron sê, Neem jou staf, en gooi dit voor Farao neer, en dit sal ’n slang word.

And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
En Moses en Aäron het by Farao ingegaan, en so gedoen soos die HERE beveel het: en Aäron het sy staf voor Farao, en voor sy dienaars neergegooi, en dit het ’n slang geword.

Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
Toe het Farao ook die wyse manne en die towenaars geroep: nou het die towenaars van Egipte ook so met hulle beswerings gedoen.

For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
Want elkeen het sy staf neergegooi, en hulle het slange geword: maar Aäron se staf het hulle stafte verslind.
13
And he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
En Hy het Farao se hart verhard, dat hy nie na hulle geluister het nie; soos die HERE gesê het.
14
And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart [is] hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
En die HERE het tot Moses gesê, Farao se hart is verhard, hy weier om die volk te laat gaan.
15
Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
Gaan na Farao in die môre; kyk, hy gaan uit na die water; en jy moet by die oewer van die rivier staan om hom tegemoet te gaan; en die staf wat in ’n slang verander is, moet jy in jou hand neem.

And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
En jy moet tot hom sê, Die HERE God van die Hebreërs het my na jou gestuur, en gesê, Laat my volk gaan, dat hulle My in die wildernis mag dien: en kyk, tot nou toe het jy nie geluister nie.

Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that [is] in mine hand upon the waters which [are] in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
So sê die HERE, Hieraan sal jy weet dat Ek die HERE is: kyk, ek sal met die staf wat in my hand is op die waters wat in die rivier is, slaan, en hulle sal in bloed verander word.

And the fish that [is] in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
En die visse wat in die rivier is, sal sterwe, en die rivier sal stink; en die Egiptenaars sal walging hê om water uit die rivier te drink.
19
And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and [that] there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in [vessels of] wood, and in [vessels of] stone.
En die HERE het tot Moses gesê, Sê tot Aäron, Neem jou staf, en steek jou hand uit oor die waters van Egipte, oor hulle strome, oor hulle riviere, en oor hulle damme, en oor al hulle waterversamelings, dat hulle bloed mag word; en daar sal bloed wees deur die hele land Egipte, beide in hout en in klip.

And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that [were] in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that [were] in the river were turned to blood.
En Moses en Aäron het so gedoen soos die HERE beveel het; en hy het die staf opgehef, en die waters wat in die rivier was, voor die oë van Farao, en voor die oë van sy dienaars geslaan; en al die waters wat in die rivier was, is in bloed verander.

And the fish that [was] in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
En die visse wat in die rivier was, het gesterwe; en die rivier het gestink, en die Egiptenaars kon nie water uit die rivier drink nie; en daar was bloed deur die hele land Egipte.

And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.
En die towenaars van Egipte het so met hulle beswerings gedoen: en Farao se hart is verhard, en hy het nie na hulle geluister nie; soos die HERE gesê het.

And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
En Farao het omgedraai en in sy huis gegaan, en hy het ook hierdie ding nie ter harte geneem nie.

And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
En al die Egiptenaars het rondom die rivier gegrawe vir water om te drink; want hulle kon nie van die water van die rivier drink nie.
25
And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.
En sewe dae is vervul nadat die HERE die rivier geslaan het.
