1
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Ho, elkeen wat dors is, kom tot die waters, en hy wat geen silwer het nie; kom, koop, en eet; ja, kom, koop wyn en melk sonder silwer en sonder prys.

Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Waarom spandeer julle silwer vir dit wat nie brood is nie? en julle arbeid vir dit wat nie versadig nie? luister ywerig na My, en eet julle dit wat goed is, en laat julle siel in vetheid juig.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of David.
Neig julle oor, en kom tot My: hoor, en julle siel sal lewe; en ek sal ’n ewige verbond met julle maak, selfs die seker barmhartighede van Dawid.

Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
Kyk, ek het Hom vir ’n getuie aan die volk gegee, ’n leier en bevelhebber aan die volk.

Behold, thou shalt call a nation [that] thou knowest not, and nations [that] knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
Kyk, jy sal ’n nasie roep wat jy nie ken nie, en nasies wat jou nie geken het nie, sal tot jou hardloop vanweë die HERE jou God, en om die Heilige van Israel se ontwil; want Hy het jou verheerlik.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Soek die HERE terwyl Hy te vind is, roep Hom aan terwyl Hy naby is:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Laat die goddelose sy weg verlaat, en die onregverdige man sy gedagtes: en laat hom terugkeer tot die HERE, en Hy sal medelye met hom hê; en tot onse God, want Hy sal oorvloedig vergewe.

For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Want my gedagtes is nie julle gedagtes nie, en julle weë is nie my weë nie, sê die HERE.
9
For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Want soos die hemele hoër is as die aarde, so is my weë hoër as julle weë, en my gedagtes as julle gedagtes.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Want soos die reën en die sneeu van die hemel afdaal, en daarheen nie terugkeer nie, maar die aarde natmaak, en dit laat voortbring en uitspruit, dat dit saad gee aan die saaier, en brood aan die eter:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.
So sal my woord wees wat uit my mond uitgaan: dit sal nie leeg tot My terugkeer nie, maar dit sal doen wat My behaag, en dit sal voorspoedig wees in dit waarvoor ek dit gestuur het.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands.
Want julle sal met vreugde uitgaan, en met vrede gelei word: die berge en die heuwels sal voor julle uitbreek in sing, en al die bome van die veld sal die hande klap.

Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off.
In plaas van die doring sal die denneboom opkom, en in plaas van die brandnetel sal die mirteboom opkom: en dit sal tot die HERE wees vir ’n naam, vir ’n ewige teken wat nie afgesny sal word nie.
