In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
In die huis van my Vader is baie wonings: as dit nie so was nie, sou ek dit julle gesê het. Ek gaan heen om vir julle plek te berei.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
En as ek heengaan en vir julle plek berei, sal ek weer kom, en julle tot My neem; dat waar ek is, daar julle ook mag wees.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
En waar ek heengaan weet julle, en die weg ken julle.

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Thomas sê tot Hom, Here, ons weet nie waarheen U gaan nie; en hoe kan ons die weg ken?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus sê tot hom, Ek is die weg, en die waarheid, en die lewe: niemand kom tot die Vader, behalwe deur My nie.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
As julle My geken het, sou julle my Vader ook geken het: en van nou af ken julle Hom, en het Hom gesien.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Filippus sê tot Hom, Here, toon ons die Vader, en dit is genoeg vir ons.

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
Jesus sê tot hom, Is ek so lank by julle, en het jy My nog nie geken nie, Filippus? hy wat My gesien het, het die Vader gesien; en hoe sê jy dan, Toon ons die Vader?

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Glo jy nie dat ek in die Vader is, en die Vader in My nie? die woorde wat ek tot julle spreek, spreek ek nie uit Myself nie: maar die Vader wat in My woon, Hy doen die werke.

Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Glo My dat ek in die Vader is, en die Vader in My: of anders, glo My om die werke self ontwil.
12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Voorwaar, voorwaar sê ek vir julle, Hy wat in My glo, die werke wat ek doen sal hy ook doen; en groter werke as hierdie sal hy doen; omdat ek na my Vader gaan.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
En wat julle ook al in my Naam vra, dit sal ek doen, dat die Vader in die Seun verheerlik mag word.
14
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].
As julle iets in my Naam vra, sal ek dit doen.
15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
As julle My liefhet, bewaar my gebooie.
16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
En ek sal die Vader bid, en Hy sal julle ‚'n ander Trooster gee, dat Hy tot in ewigheid by julle mag bly;
17
[Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Selfs die Gees van die waarheid; wat die wêreld nie kan ontvang nie, omdat dit Hom nie sien nie, en Hom ook nie ken nie: maar julle ken Hom; want Hy bly by julle, en sal in julle wees.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Ek sal julle nie as wees kinders laat nie: ek sal tot julle kom.
19
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
Nog ’n bietjie, en die wêreld sien My nie meer nie; maar julle sien My: omdat ek lewe, sal julle ook lewe.
20
At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
In daardie dag sal julle weet dat ek in my Vader is, en julle in My, en ek in julle.
21
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Hy wat my gebooie het, en hulle bewaar, hy is dit wat My liefhet: en hy wat My liefhet, sal deur my Vader liefgehê word, en ek sal hom liefhê, en Myself aan hom openbaar.

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
Judas sê tot Hom, nie Iskáriot nie, Here, hoe is dit dat U Uself aan ons sal openbaar, en nie aan die wêreld nie?

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Jesus het geantwoord en tot hom gesê, As iemand My liefhet, sal hy my woord bewaar: en my Vader sal hom liefhê, en Ons sal tot hom kom, en woning by hom maak.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
Hy wat My nie liefhet nie, bewaar my woorde nie: en die woord wat julle hoor is nie myne nie, maar die Vader s‚'n wat My gestuur het.
25
These things have I spoken unto you, being [yet] present with you.
Hierdie dinge het ek tot julle gespreek, terwyl ek nog by julle was.

But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Maar die Trooster, wat die Heilige Gees is, wat die Vader in my Naam sal stuur, Hy sal julle alles leer, en julle herinner aan alles wat ek tot julle gesê het.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Vrede laat ek vir julle, my vrede gee ek julle: nie soos die wêreld gee, gee ek julle nie. Laat julle hart nie ontsteld word nie, en ook nie bevrees wees nie.

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
Julle het gehoor hoe ek tot julle gesê het, Ek gaan heen, en kom weer tot julle. As julle My liefgehad het, sou julle bly gewees het, omdat ek gesê het, Ek gaan na die Vader: want my Vader is groter as ek.

And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
En nou het ek dit julle gesê voordat dit gebeur, dat, wanneer dit gebeur, julle mag glo.
30
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
Hierna sal ek nie baie met julle spreek nie: want die owerste van hierdie wêreld kom, en het niks in My nie.
31
But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
Maar dat die wêreld mag weet dat ek die Vader liefhet; en soos die Vader My gebod gegee het, so doen ek. Staan op, laat ons hiervandaan gaan.
