Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
Spreek tot die kinders van Israel, en sê tot hulle, Ek is die HERE julle God.

After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
Julle mag nie doen na die werke van die land Egipte, waarin julle gewoon het nie; en julle mag nie doen na die werke van die land Kanaän, waarheen ek julle bring nie: en julle mag nie in hulle insettinge wandel nie.

Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I [am] the LORD your God.
Julle moet my oordele doen, en my insettinge onderhou, om daarin te wandel: ek is die HERE julle God.
5
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I [am] the LORD.
Julle moet dus my insettinge, en my oordele onderhou: wat as ’n mens doen, hy sal daardeur lewe: ek is die HERE.
6
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover [their] nakedness: I [am] the LORD.
Geen mens moet nader kom tot enige naby bloedverwant van sy vlees, om die naaktheid te ontbloot nie: ek is die HERE.
7
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she [is] thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
Die naaktheid van jou vader, of die naaktheid van jou moeder, moet jy nie ontbloot nie: sy is jou moeder; jy mag haar naaktheid nie ontbloot nie.

The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it [is] thy father’s nakedness.
Die naaktheid van jou vader se vrou moet jy nie ontbloot nie: dit is jou vader se naaktheid.
9
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, [whether she be] born at home, or born abroad, [even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
Die naaktheid van jou suster, die dogter van jou vader, of dogter van jou moeder, of sy by die huis of buite gebore is, selfs hulle naaktheid moet jy nie ontbloot nie.
10
The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, [even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs [is] thine own nakedness.
Die naaktheid van jou seun se dogter, of van jou dogter se dogter, selfs hulle naaktheid moet jy nie ontbloot nie: want hulle is jou eie naaktheid.
11
The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she [is] thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
Die naaktheid van jou vader se vrou se dogter, wat by jou vader verwek is, sy is jou suster, jy mag haar naaktheid nie ontbloot nie.
12
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she [is] thy father’s near kinswoman.
Jy mag die naaktheid van jou vader se suster nie ontbloot nie: sy is jou vader se naby bloedverwant.
13
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she [is] thy mother’s near kinswoman.
Jy mag die naaktheid van jou moeder se suster nie ontbloot nie: want sy is jou moeder se naby bloedverwant.
14
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she [is] thine aunt.
Jy mag die naaktheid van jou vader se broer nie ontbloot nie, jy mag nie nader kom tot sy vrou nie: sy is jou tante.
15
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she [is] thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
Jy mag die naaktheid van jou skoondogter nie ontbloot nie: sy is jou seun se vrou; jy mag haar naaktheid nie ontbloot nie.
16
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it [is] thy brother’s nakedness.
Jy mag die naaktheid van jou broer se vrou nie ontbloot nie: dit is jou broer se naaktheid.
17
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; [for] they [are] her near kinswomen: it [is] wickedness.
Jy mag die naaktheid van ’n vrou en haar dogter nie ontbloot nie, en jy mag ook nie haar seun se dogter, of haar dogter se dogter neem, om haar naaktheid te ontbloot nie; want hulle is haar naby bloedverwante: dit is boosheid.
18
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex [her], to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life [time].
Jy mag ook nie ’n vrou saam met haar suster neem, om haar te benoud te maak, om haar naaktheid te ontbloot, benewens die ander in haar lewe nie.
19
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
Jy mag ook nie nader kom tot ’n vrou om haar naaktheid te ontbloot, solank sy in haar onreinheid deur haar afsondering afgesonder is nie.
20
Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.
Boonop mag jy nie by jou naaste se vrou lê, om jou met haar te verontreinig nie.
21
And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I [am] the LORD.
En jy mag nie enige van jou saad laat deurgaan deur die vuur aan Moleg nie, en jy mag die Naam van jou God nie ontheilig nie: ek is die HERE.
22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.
Jy mag nie by die mannelike lê, soos by die vroulike nie: dit is ’n gruwel.
23
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it [is] confusion.
Jy mag ook by geen dier lê om jou daarmee te verontreinig nie: en ’n vrou mag nie voor ’n dier staan om met haar te lê nie: dit is verwarring.
24
Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
Verontreinig julle self nie in enige van hierdie dinge nie: want in al hierdie is die nasies verontreinig wat ek voor julle uit uitwerp:
25
And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
En die land is verontreinig: daarom besoek ek die ongeregtigheid daarvan daarop, en die land self spuug sy inwoners uit.
26
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit [any] of these abominations; [neither] any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
Julle moet dus my insettinge en my oordele onderhou, en geeneen van hierdie gruwels doen nie; nie enige van julle eie nasie, of enige vreemdeling wat onder julle vertoef nie:
27
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which [were] before you, and the land is defiled;)
(Want al hierdie gruwels het die mense van die land gedoen, wat voor julle was, en die land is verontreinig;)
28
That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that [were] before you.
Dat die land julle nie ook uitspuug wanneer julle dit verontreinig nie, soos dit die nasie uitgespuug het wat voor julle was.
29
For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit [them] shall be cut off from among their people.
Want elkeen wat enige van hierdie gruwels doen, selfs die siele wat dit doen, moet van hulle volk afgesny word.
30
Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that [ye] commit not [any one] of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I [am] the LORD your God.
Daarom moet julle my bevel onderhou, dat julle geeneen van hierdie verfoeilike gebruike doen nie, wat voor julle gedoen is, en dat julle julle self nie daardeur verontreinig nie: ek is die HERE julle God.
