And it came to pass on the eighth day, [that] Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

En dit het gebeur op die agtste dag, dat Moses Aäron en sy seuns, en die ouderlinge van Israel geroep het;

And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer [them] before the LORD.

En hy het tot Aäron gesê, Neem vir jou ’n jong bul tot ’n sondoffer, en ’n ram tot ’n brandoffer, sonder gebrek, en offer hulle voor die HERE.

And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, [both] of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

En tot die kinders van Israel moet jy spreek, en sê, Neem ’n bokkie tot ’n sondoffer; en ’n kalf en ’n lam, altwee van ’n jaar oud, sonder gebrek, tot ’n brandoffer;

Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.

Ook ‚'n os en ‚'n ram tot dankoffers, om voor die HERE te offer; en ‚'n spysoffer gemeng met olie: want vandag verskyn die HERE aan julle.

And they brought [that] which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.

En hulle het dit gebring wat Moses beveel het voor die tabernakel van die gemeente: en die hele vergadering het nader gekom en voor die HERE gestaan.

And Moses said, This [is] the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.

En Moses het gesê, Dit is die saak wat die HERE beveel het dat julle moet doen: en die heerlikheid van die HERE sal aan julle verskyn.

And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

En Moses het tot Aäron gesê, Gaan na die altaar, en offer jou sondoffer, en jou brandoffer, en maak versoening vir jouself, en vir die volk: en offer die offer van die volk, en maak versoening vir hulle; soos die HERE beveel het.

Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which [was] for himself.

Aäron het dan na die altaar gegaan, en die kalf van die sondoffer, wat vir homself was, geslag.

And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put [it] upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:

En die seuns van Aäron het die bloed by hom gebring; en hy het sy vinger in die bloed gedoop, en dit op die horings van die altaar gesit, en die bloed by die voet van die altaar uitgegooi:

But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Maar die vet, en die niere, en die vel oor die lewer van die sondoffer, het hy op die altaar aan die brand gestook; soos die HERE Moses beveel het.

And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

En die vlees en die vel het hy buite die kamp met vuur verbrand.

And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

En hy het die brandoffer geslag; en Aäron se seuns het die bloed by hom gebring, wat hy rondom op die altaar gesprinkel het.

And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt [them] upon the altar.

En hulle het die brandoffer by hom gebring, met die stukke daarvan, en die kop: en hy het hulle op die altaar aan die brand gestook.

14

And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt [them] upon the burnt offering on the altar.

En hy het die binnegoed en die bene gewas, en hulle op die brandoffer op die altaar aan die brand gestook.

15

And he brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which [was] the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

En hy het die offer van die volk gebring, en die bok van die sondoffer geneem wat vir die volk was, en dit geslag, en dit as ‚'n sondoffer geoffer, soos die eerste.

And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.

En hy het die brandoffer gebring, en dit volgens die ordinasie geoffer.

17

And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt [it] upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.

En hy het die spysoffer gebring, en sy hand vol daarvan geneem, en dit op die altaar aan die brand gestook, benewens die brandoffer van die môre.

18

He slew also the bullock and the ram [for] a sacrifice of peace offerings, which [was] for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,

Hy het ook die os en die ram geslag tot ’n offer van dankoffers, wat vir die volk was: en Aäron se seuns het die bloed by hom gebring, wat hy rondom op die altaar gesprinkel het,

And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth [the inwards], and the kidneys, and the caul [above] the liver:

En die vet van die os en van die ram, die stuit, en dit wat die binnegoed bedek, en die niere, en die vel oor die lewer:

20

And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

En hulle het die vet op die borsse gesit, en hy het die vet op die altaar aan die brand gestook:

21

And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved [for] a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.

En die borsse en die regterboud het Aäron heen en weer beweeg tot ’n beweegoffer voor die HERE; soos Moses beveel het.

22

And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

En Aäron het sy hand na die volk uitgesteek, en hulle geseën, en van die offer van die sondoffer, en die brandoffer, en die dankoffers afgeklim.

And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

En Moses en Aäron het in die tabernakel van die gemeente ingegaan, en uitgekom, en die volk geseën: en die heerlikheid van die HERE het aan die hele volk verskyn.

And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: [which] when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

En daar het vuur uitgegaan van die HERE, en op die altaar die brandoffer en die vet verteer: wat toe die hele volk sien, het hulle gejuig, en op hulle aangesigte neergeval.
