Awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.
Ontwaak, psalter en harp: ek self sal vroeg ontwaak.

I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
Ek sal U prys, o HERE, onder die volk: en ek sal tot U sing onder die nasies.

For thy mercy [is] great above the heavens: and thy truth [reacheth] unto the clouds.
Want u barmhartigheid is groot bo die hemele: en u waarheid reik tot by die wolke.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
Wees U verhef, o God, bo die hemele: en u heerlikheid bo die hele aarde;

That thy beloved may be delivered: save [with] thy right hand, and answer me.
Dat u geliefdes verlos mag word: red met u regterhand, en antwoord my.

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
God het in sy heiligheid gespreek; ek sal juig, ek sal Sigem verdeel, en die dal van Sukkot uitmeet.

Gilead [is] mine; Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of mine head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;
Gílead is myne; Manasse is myne; Efraim ook is die sterkte van my hoof; Juda is my wetgewer;
9
Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
Moab is my wasbak; oor Edom sal ek my skoen uitwerp; oor Filistéa sal ek juig.

Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
Wie sal my in die sterk stad bring? wie sal my in Edom lei?

[Wilt] not [thou], O God, [who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
Sal nie U, o God, wat ons verwerp het nie? en U, o God, wat nie uitgaan met ons leërs nie?
12
Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.
Gee ons hulp van benoudheid af: want ydele is die hulp van die mens.
13
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he [it is that] shall tread down our enemies.
Deur God sal ons dapper doen: want Hy is dit wat ons vyande sal neertrap.
