A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
Die HERE sal die septer van jou sterkte uit Sion stuur: heers in die midde van jou vyande.

Thy people [shall be] willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
Jou volk sal gewillig wees in die dag van jou mag, in die skoonhede van heiligheid uit die baarmoeder van die môre: jy het die dou van jou jeug.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Die HERE het gesweer, en sal Hom nie berou nie, Jy is ’n priester vir ewig na die orde van Melgisédek.

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
Die Here aan jou regterhand sal konings neerslaan in die dag van sy toorn.

He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill [the places] with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
Hy sal onder die heidene oordeel, Hy sal die plekke met dooie liggame vul; Hy sal die hoofde oor baie lande verwond.
7
He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
Hy sal van die spruit by die weg drink: daarom sal Hy die hoof ophef.
