Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, [and] his praise in the congregation of saints.

Prys die HERE. Sing tot die HERE ‚'n nuwe lied, en sy lof in die vergadering van heiliges.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Laat Israel juig in Hom wat hom gemaak het: laat die kinders van Sion juig in hulle Koning.

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Laat hulle sy Naam prys in die dans: laat hulle tot Hom sing met die tamboeryn en harp.

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Want die HERE behae in sy volk: Hy sal die nederiges met heil versier.

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Laat die heiliges juig in heerlikheid: laat hulle sing hardop op hulle beddens.

[Let] the high [praises] of God [be] in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

Laat die hoë lof van God in hulle mond wees, en ’n tweesnydende swaard in hulle hand;

7

To execute vengeance upon the heathen, [and] punishments upon the people;

Om wraak uit te voer op die heidene, en strawwe op die volk;

8

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

Om hulle konings met kettings te bind, en hulle edeles met ysterboeië;

9

To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

Om op hulle die oordeel te voltrek wat geskrywe is: hierdie eer het al sy heiliges. Prys die HERE.
