Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
U het hom die begeerte van sy hart gegee, en die versoek van sy lippe nie weerhou nie. Sela.

For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
Want U voorkom hom met die seëninge van goedheid: U sit ’n kroon van suiwer goud op sy hoof.

He asked life of thee, [and] thou gavest [it] him, [even] length of days for ever and ever.
Hy het lewe van U gevra, en U het dit aan hom gegee, selfs lengte van dae vir ewig en altyd.

His glory [is] great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
Sy eer is groot in u heil: eer en majesteit het U op hom gelê.

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
Want U het hom die seëninge vir ewig gemaak: U het hom bly gemaak met u aangesig.

For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
Want die koning vertrou op die HERE, en deur die barmhartigheid van die Allerhoogste sal hy nie beweeg word nie.

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
Jou hand sal al jou vyande vind: jou regterhand sal dié vind wat jou haat.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
Jy sal hulle soos ‚'n vurige oond maak in die tyd van jou toorn: die HERE sal hulle in sy toorn verslind, en die vuur sal hulle verteer.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
Hulle vrug sal jy van die aarde vernietig, en hulle saad van onder die kinders van die mens.

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, [which] they are not able [to perform].
Want hulle het kwaad teen jou bedink: hulle het ‚'n listige toestel bedink, wat hulle nie in staat is om uit te voer nie.
12
Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, [when] thou shalt make ready [thine arrows] upon thy strings against the face of them.
Daarom sal jy hulle die rug toekeer, wanneer jy jou pyle op jou stringe gereed maak teen hulle aangesig.
13
Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: [so] will we sing and praise thy power.
Wees U verhef, HERE, in u eie sterkte: so sal ons sing en u mag prys.
