1
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
En hy het my ‚'n rein rivier van water van die lewe getoon, helder soos kristal, voortkomende uit die troon van God en van die Lam.
2
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.
In die midde van die straat daarvan, en aan weerskante van die rivier, was daar die boom van die lewe, wat twaalf soorte vrugte voortbring, en elke maand sy vrug gee: en die blare van die boom was tot genesing van die nasies.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
En daar sal geen meer vloek wees nie: maar die troon van God en van die Lam sal daarin wees; en sy dienaars sal Hom dien:
4
And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads.
En hulle sal sy aangesig sien; en sy Naam sal in hulle voorhoofde wees.
5
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
En daar sal geen nag daar wees nie; en hulle het geen kers nodig nie, nóg lig van die son; want die Here God gee hulle lig: en hulle sal heers tot in ewigheid.

And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
En hy het tot my gesê, Hierdie woorde is getrou en waaragtig: en die Here God van die heilige profete het sy engel gestuur om aan sy dienaars te toon die dinge wat spoedig moet gebeur.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Kyk, ek kom spoedig: geseënd is hy wat die woorde van die profesie van hierdie boek bewaar.

And I John saw these things, and heard [them]. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
En ek Johannes het hierdie dinge gesien en gehoor. En toe ek gehoor en gesien het, het ek neergeval om te aanbid voor die voete van die engel wat my hierdie dinge getoon het.

Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Toe sê hy tot my, Sien toe dat jy dit nie doen nie: want ek is jou mededienaar, en van jou broers die profete, en van hulle wat die woorde van hierdie boek bewaar: aanbid God.

And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
En hy sê tot my, Verseël nie die woorde van die profesie van hierdie boek nie: want die tyd is naby.
11
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Hy wat onregverdig is, laat hom nog onregverdig wees: en hy wat vuil is, laat hom nog vuil wees: en hy wat regverdig is, laat hom nog regverdig wees: en hy wat heilig is, laat hom nog heilig wees.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
En kyk, ek kom spoedig; en my loon is by my, om aan elkeen te gee soos sy werk sal wees.
13
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Ek is die Alfa en die Oméga, die begin en die einde, die eerste en die laaste.
14
Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Geseënd is hulle wat sy gebooie doen, dat hulle reg mag hê op die boom van die lewe, en mag ingaan deur die poorte in die stad.
15
For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Want buite is honde, en towenaars, en hoereerders, en moordenaars, en afgodedienaars, en elkeen wat liefhet en ‚'n leuen maak.
16
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star.
Ek Jesus het my engel gestuur om hierdie dinge aan julle te getuig in die gemeentes. Ek is die wortel en die nageslag van Dawid, en die blink môrester.
17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
En die Gees en die bruid sê, Kom. En laat hom wat hoor sê, Kom. En laat hom wat dors het kom. En elkeen wat wil, laat hom die water van die lewe neem verniet.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Want ek getuig aan elkeen wat die woorde van die profesie van hierdie boek hoor, As iemand by hierdie dinge byvoeg, sal God by hom die plae byvoeg wat in hierdie boek geskrywe is:

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
En as iemand wegneem van die woorde van die boek van hierdie profesie, sal God sy deel wegneem uit die boek van die lewe, en uit die heilige stad, en uit die dinge wat in hierdie boek geskrywe is.
20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Hy wat hierdie dinge getuig, sê, Sekerlik kom ek spoedig. Amen. Selfs so, kom, Here Jesus.
21
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
Die genade van onse Here Jesus Christus sy met julle almal. Amen.
